My 2 kids are 9 years apart. Johani my Boy & Nairobi my Girl ( Thank You Lord)...so "starting over" was an understatement! This photo was taken the morning of my C-section of my 2nd pregnancy. I was happy this morning and felt energized and ready. I listened to trap music on the way to Highland Park Hospital. They made my stay A-MAZE-ING, to say the least. I was ready this time around. I didn't feel scared or have any of the emotions & jitters all first-time moms go thru. I walked in, checked in with the nurses by saying "Good Morning...I'm here to have this Baby!" and excitedly pointed at my protruding belly that made me feel like a ball ( I'm only 4'11 and gained some weight)! They all laughed, saying what a breath of fresh air for a mom to be at ease so early in the morning as it was only 6:00am as beautiful as they day looked. That day was for ME. I was glad to experience pregnancy and motherhood a second time around, in a healthy space mentally and physically with my family surrounding me. My son, 10 at the time was so supportive and wanted to help so much it filled my heart up.
I love my kids and I am thankful every day to be able to experience the best of both worlds with my boy & girl.
